Product Description This new NIX digital photo frame features a lovely natural, solid wood frame, as well as the latest technological features. Incorporated is a 128mb Internal Memory (thats 8 times more capacity than the Philips 7FF2FA frame). You can drag and drop photos directly from your PC onto the digital photo frames internal memory. Being able to directly store photos on the digital photo frames memory makes this digital photo frame suitable for any brand of digital camera. The NIX digital photo frame also features a high quality backlit LCD panel and an ultra high quality image processor that will display photos up to 14 mega pixels in size and in vibrant colours. Brightness and contrast controls allow you to optimize your display. The adjustable stand allows you to alter the viewing angle of the digital photo frame to enhance your view either from a sitting position (i.e. your desk) or your living room (standing or sitting position). The frame is made of solid natural wood (unlike the HP750 frame which is plastic wood imitation). The frames menu is designed to be straight forward and easy to navigate. To improve styling and ease of use, NIX have removed the need for a remote control, this also removes the need for the traditional and ugly 'plastic dot' that most other digital photo frames have to incorporate into their frames for the remote control sensor. Here is a List of compatible formats and brands of digital camera and memory card: The memory card slot is compatible with Sandisk, Kingston, Bytestor, Integral, Fujifilm, Kodak (basically every brand of memory card) in the following formats: SD, Compact Flash & Memory Stick. The internal memory can accept images in JPEG format (transferred from your PC) and so is compatible with the following camera brands: Sony, Canon, Fuji, Casio, Nikon, Samsung, Kodak, Vivitar, Panasonic & Olympus. The precise wood grain may vary slightly from frame to frame as it's an organic product.

really nice pressy December 3, 2008 This is the fourth nix frame I've bought. I orginally purchased one for myself last christmas and am still very happy with it. I've since purchased another three nix frames for friends as gifts including this one. I've had a good fiddle with it and it's a very nice and neat frame. The wood is nice and the build quality is solid. best of all is that it's really simple to use.
Very Poor December 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The build quality is poor as is the wood, the whole thing feels like plastic and the colour was almost red, nothing like the picture. No idea how it performs, sent it back before we got to that stage!
poor frame more like plastic than wood October 17, 2008 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
I purchased this for a present more because of the frame than anything else we have a lot of good quality pine in our home and from the photo I thought this would fit in well. But I was very surprised especially after reading one of the earlier reviews. To me the frame is more like plastic than a solid wood as far as the technical stuff is concerned did not get that far as the frame was enough to put me off am now trying to get a refund as sent it back be warned the photo is deceiving!!!
Great picture and a properly nice frame!! October 13, 2008 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Just a brief note to say how great this frame is. Its an unusual solid wood frame with a fantastic quality feel. I really didn't want a plastic or plastic wood effect frame as all the others in my home are made from "real" materials - Wood, Glass, Metal and under normal circumstances wouldn't give plastic house room - so why now!!?
The picture quality is lovely, really warm tones and sharpness are great. Easy to adjust to your own taste or to suit the light in the area that you have placed the frame. Very easy to use (this is the first digital picture frame that I have owned) and creates a real "wow" factor in the room.
Can't recommend it enough
Gorgeous frame and really easy to use May 6, 2008 79 out of 81 found this review helpful
This is the second nix I've had. I used to have the previous wood frame model, but when this came out I decided to upgrade. Also it was perfect timing, as I recently bought a Sony digital camera that comes with it's own internal memory and so I don't use memory cards anymore. With the old model I was transferring my photos onto a memory card and that was a real hassle, plus I had to spend money on buying the memory card. With this new frame it has internal memory so I can just drag and drop the photos onto the frame's internal memory via my PC, easy peasy.
I was happy with my last model, but this one is really good. The wood frame is nicer and bigger and overall it has more features. The bigger wood frame really looks good in the living room, it's a properly nice frame, and not just a bit of technology. It does cost a bit more, but it's worth it given all the extras that you get like a large internal memory, adjustable stand, and the ability to display my larger 8 mega pixel photos. I had been in touch with nix to find out when this was coming out and my biggest worry was that it would have remote sensor stuck in the frame, ruining the look, luckily it doesn't.
A good little thing about it as well is that the user manual is written in plain English. Being an English company their user manuals aren't like the others who have all their user manuals written in China and are about the same size as a phone book!
Though it's still early days so far no problems, except once I pulled the usb cable linking my PC to the digital photo frame whilst transferring photos and this caused the frames internal memory to lose the photos and become unformatted. Luckily though the user manual guided me on how to reformat the internal memory, so my panic was short lived.
