Avoid November 18, 2007 I bought this camera in April and it's been nothing but trouble. The pictures are often blurred but I initially put this down to my lack of skill. The battery usage is very high but I also encountered a problem where the camera wouldn't take new batteries, shutting down automatically when brand new batteries were inserted! I had to use any batteries in another piece of equipment for 10 minutes before the camera would accept them. After 6 frustrating months of trying to get it to take pictures that were continually in focus rather than occasionally so, it finally gave up the ghost today, the 18 inch drop from my soft bed to my soft carpet being enough to break this flimsy construction beyond use. Possibly the single worst piece of equipment I have ever owned.
fantastic! October 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
takes wonderful pictures in stunnig colour. Comes complete with case, and is so easy to store and use. Also takes moving picture videos. Easy instructions help to put your pictures on you pc and to share your photos. Quite simply, a Gem.
not as good as i expected October 19, 2007 I have read all the revues and thought it would be an ideal replacement for my aging fuji finepix, but I cannot make it take crisp, clear pictures and have tried most of the settings but have now given up. It may be that I have got a duff one and am in the process of trying to return it. I also found that it eats batteries and even hi powered rechargeables don't seem to last long
Good camera but.. August 9, 2007 Thought it was just me but reading the reviews I am not alone. I have to take a barrel-load of batteries with me on holiday. Pity but it will have to go back. Shame...when it worked it was ace!
Eats batteries August 9, 2007 Got this as a first digital camera. i have had it out of the box 3 times to practice at home before going on my holidays. i put fresh batteries in and the thing switched on and then died on me. it eats batteries. and it was Kodak batteries i used. i have gone through 6 sets of batteries and managed to take 3 pictures total before digital death.
I think that the manufacturer should fix this problem or recommend some sort of super industrial battery that will work in this thing.
I am now considering going back to my old faithful 35mm camera and returning this item if i cannot get batteries to work.
Other than that it looks great, easy to use. compact, and you dont need to load the software onto the pc to watch videos or see your pics it works through windows media player.
