Good at pics but no audio on vids May 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great little camera if you want something cheap and chearful to take holiday snaps. The biggest pain is no audio when recording videos. What is the point of putting a video mode on a camera and having no audio? You have to resort to cardboard signs like in the old black and white films! Shame
Cant believe no-one else mentioned it in their reviews - cheers
Brilliant Little Camera May 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received this camera for my birthday and I absolutely love it. It's easy to use, produces brilliant photos and is 100% reliable. I take on average 500 photos a month and this camera has never let me down. Suitable for normal holiday shots, I also use it for sports photography
Great Camera - but requires frequent repair February 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have owned this camera for about three years. I love the pictures it takes. They have clear definition, bright colours and make even an amateur 'snapper' like me look like a halfway decent photographer.
However, the reason why I have only given this camera 2 stars is that within less than a year of having the camera I had to send it away for repair because the camera kept freezing. I renewed the warranty for another three years as I felt the camera was worth the investment. In the last 18 months the camera has died on me twice. Once on holiday, and the other time a family reunion - both experiences that can never be captured again and therefore lost forever. I am now debating whether to send it for yet another repair - or give up and buy a new camera.
Great for the pocket January 14, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am very much into photography having purchased succesive SLR's from Pentax, Nikon and Cannon over the year. Have purchased/viewed over 20 digital cameras and always come back to Fuji, their cameras are simply outstanding. Have alraedy owned five Fuji digital cameras. Thw two I use at present are this one and the 6500. The 6500 is more like a SLr and is the camera I use for visits to the zoo (great optical zoom0 and Disney land. When I require a camera I can put in my pocket (the Beach or any occassion I do not waant a brick around my neck) this is the camera I take. Th equality is excellent and it is so portable. My 7 year-old loves to use this camera as weel, it is easy. Since writing this review have upgraded the 610 to the 920, far better definition, four times optical zoom and slighly larger LCD display. Still use the 6500, great camera.
Good Quality And Simple To Use November 18, 2007 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I purchased this camera as a present for my dad. He has never used a digital camera before as all things that require the use of a computer tend to make him a little bit wary. It has turned out to be the best present I have got him in ages, possibly the best one ever!
The major benefits to someone looking for an 'easy to use' camera are featured in this smart little model. Firstly, it runs on ordinary batteries - something which appeals to older people, like my dad, who don't even own a mobile phone. Secondly, it has a decent size LCD and by using the handy Help Text anyone could manage to zoom in and out of a picture in order to assess whether it had achieved what was desired.
Another major benefit is that the actual quality of the pictures are truly excellent. As the owner of a EOS 400D SLR, I still found the picture quality of this little camera were of a very high standard. In fact, I liked it so much I am considering getting another one for me - for those times when you want a small 'pocket-sized' camera with you.
The instruction guide clearly guides even the most inexperienced person through all of the functions available, of which there are many. To put it into perspective - when my dad had tried my SLR he had barely touched anything, with instructions being told to him, in five minutes. In the case of this little camera, however, he had sussed out the batteries, the memory card, taken five photos, and taken a little video clip around the room, all in the time it took for my nan to make a cup of tea!
Overall, I have to say this camera may be compact, but it is jam-packed with everything it could possibly need, whilst maintaining its position as the most easiest to use model currently available.
